Job Summary:
The Tournant is the leader on the line able to effectively run a variety of stations in a fast paced culinary environment. They must be able to prepare food according to standardized recipes and portion controls. They will assist in prepping, organizing and running all banquet operations. They will help to receive food and dry goods for the kitchen and properly account for such deliveries. This position is in charge of keeping all coolers and walk-ins neat and clean, properly storing and covering all food items and rotating products for freshness. They will also help the Chef(s) maintain all par levels for the kitchen(s).

Job Responsibilities:
- Works all stations as required.
- Develop and train line staff including interns to standard performance level.
- Communicate with the Chef on duty to assure proper service according to the assigned shift.
- Assists in maintaing smooth operations of the kitchen during assigned shift.
- Supervises and coordinates the line crew to achieve assigned tasks according to kitchen standards.
- Cook and prepare food to order on daily basis.
- Assists in taking monthly inventory.
- Assists in controlling Labor and Food costs.
- Is familiar with fire, safety and health procedures. Assist in emergency and security procedures as directed by management.
- Reports and mechanical problems with the engineering department in a timely manner.
- Assure safe and clean work conditions for all personnel.
- Be a role model to others.
- Maintain a 100% satisfaction rate and take full responsibility for food quality.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of culinary experience
- Previous supervisory experience is helpful
- Able to communicate effectively in English
- Culinary degree/certification - preferred
- Current certification in state Professional Food Handler Program - Preferred
The expected pay range is $22.00 - $25.49. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
