We are looking for highly organised and efficient Accountant with 3+ years of experience.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent problem solving and communication skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail, and have proven ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.

The successful candidate will work closely with management across the department and hold responsibility for ensuring that quality accounts work can be delivered efficiently, within a commercially appropriate budget

Main Duties and Responsibilities

To provide an effective and efficient level of support within a busy department.

Duties may include:

To effectively prepare jobs ranging from limited accounts, management accounts, sole trade and partnerships;
To produce month end journal, balance sheet reconciliations, and prepare regulatory returns;
To prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
To ensure that work is planned in advance and in accordance with processes so that deadlines will be met e.g. statutory filing of abbreviated accounts, corporation tax returns, annual returns, self-assessment statutory returns and client driven returns;
To update records and databases ensuring information is accurate and immediately available when needed;
To prepare weekly/monthly reports;
To assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures;
To advise clients on various ad hoc queries / issues;
To assist with other accounting tasks, as assigned by a supervisor;

Skills and Experience

Qualified Accountant with 3 years post qualified experience
An Information Technology qualification and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Forms
Strong data and analytical skills
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Excellent written and verbal skills in English
Ability to prioritise, work to strict deadlines and have excellent time management
Ability to work with a team, take direction from others and collaborate effectively
Ability to maintain high standards of compliance and confidentiality
