Lab Services Technician – Job description

Responsible for performing all weighing operations within the guidelines of Standard Operating Procedures and

Work Instructions established for the filling department in the Demi Grand, including:

o Moving of packaged materials into the work area and using scales to weigh portions of material to obtain weight desired and specified on the system (based on batch specification or customer request)

o Reading and complying with all safety warnings displayed on the chemical labels before any weighing activity.

o Reading and obeying by all instructions on the system that pertain to special handling conditions of the material to ensure product quality.

o Placing the material in compatible storage containers and labeling it properly with the system generated labels.

o Transferring weighed materials to staging areas as defined by internal flow.

o Preparing and maintains records of all inventory transactions utilizing inventory management system to assure accuracy.

o Restocking all all supplies daily in support of weighing activity

o Cleaning the workstation daily at the end of the shift

Support weighing transfer activity (transfer of material from larger to smaller containers)

Work in sanitary manner to ensure product quality and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment

Ensure accurate inventory with respect to quantities and physical location of all materials

Work efficiently and use designated chemical solutions to clean and sanitize all parts and tools used during the weighing operation to avoid cross-contamination.

Actively participate in safety improvement programs

Maintain excellent housekeeping in all areas.

Participate in root cause analysis of any quality non-conformances in the area.

Do warehouse physical inventory with minimal supervision when needed.

Adhere to all Quality and Safety rules and actively participates in improvement programs.

Support DG Reception during absences and activity peaks, to include (but not limited to) receipt of incoming raw materials into inventory using inventory management system, sampling incoming raw materials, and submitting samples for analysis, relocating received raw materials into appropriate warehouse locations utilizing support equipment (ie, pallet jacks, PIT, drum truck, etc)

Support DG Warehouse activity during absences and activity peaks, to include (but not limited to) receive and log into the inventory all incoming components, bulk and other material, stage bulk and components for Filling in timely manner to support the production schedule and other activities.

Support DG Filling during absences and activity peaks, to include (but not limited to) to manually or with use of mechanical filler transfer and/or fill finished good units with formula bulk, label and package final product.

Support DG lab logistics activity during absences and activity peaks.

Other duties as assigned by Management/Supervisor of the area

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
