Position Overview:
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager will be responsible for tracking the consolidated company's financial performance against a plan, analyzing business performance and market conditions to create forecasts, and helping senior management make tactical and strategic decisions by providing periodic reports. The FP&A Manager will work closely with the CEO, CFO, Executive leadership, and Investment professionals. In addition to FP&A reporting, the Manager may also work on the financial analysis of potential mergers and acquisitions (M&A). The position will be based in a new Washington, DC office in DuPont Circle.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Perform financial forecasting, reporting and tracking operational metrics tracking for the individual business units and the consolidated entity
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
- Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
- Evaluate the financial impact of potential mergers and acquisitions
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the associate members of the FP&A team
Desired Skills and Experience:
- BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration; MBA or CPA a plus
- 3+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
- Investment banking, strategy consulting or public accounting experience a plus
- High proficiency in financial modeling techniques with Excel formulas and functions
- Ability to create dashboards and presentations for executive team using PowerPoint
- Experience with Business Intelligence and ERP software
- Strong analytical and data gathering skills including ability to combine data from different systems and formats into meaningful consolidated reports
- Excellent communication and presentation skills

Pay: $135,172.00 - $141,532.00 per year
