Summary:
The Design Sales / Salesperson position represents Morey Remodeling Group before potential new clients in order to increase sales of remodeling contracts with a focus on residential kitchens, bathrooms and room additions. This profession services the client in accordance with acceptable company policy and maintaining long-term relationships.
Essential duties and responsibilities include in-home consulting, ballpark estimating, writing specifications and contracts, distributing and getting clients' signatures on a number of documents (including general terms and conditions and lean paint notice), collecting progress payments and securing permits. Applicant should have a solid work ethic and maintain a professional appearance at all times while representing the company.
Compensation:
1. Straight commission
a. 6% of gross sales for selling remodeling contracts as a licensed in-home sales person with the state of California
i. Commission is paid out to the employee as payments come to the company.
b. Design time will be paid for based on the amount that was included in the estimate, less the time people other than the sales person put into getting the drawings and selections ready for production and permit approval.
i. Design is typically calculated at 4-6% of the project cost.
ii. A salesperson who does their own design with plans ready for permits could make up to 10% with commission and design together.
2. Hourly plus commission
a. Hourly compensation of $28.00 to 32.00 per hour with commission, based on budget matching on four-line items
b. Commission based on 3% of Gross Sale, commission paid out in three draws. Construction contract signed and material order placed.
Experience:
· Two successful years in commissioned sales
· Formal sales training in & with on ongoing seminars
· Experience in over-the-phone qualifying
