We seek an experienced and motivated Director of Sales to join our team at a women’s contemporary luxury brand. In this role, you will lead our wholesale and e-commerce sales team, driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets across all wholesale channels.
You’ll play a pivotal role in building solid relationships with retail partners and executing strategies to expand your market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead and manage the wholesale and e-commerce sales team to achieve sales goals. Motivate and coach team members to perform at their best.
- Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, merchandising, and operations) to align on sales tactics.
- Retail Partner Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new retail partners. Work closely with them to identify growth opportunities and maximize sales potential in brick-and-mortar and e-commerce channels.
- Seasonal Sales Planning & Execution: Partner with the merchandising team to create seasonal sales plans, including product assortments, pricing, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
- Market Analysis & Trend Identification: Conduct market analysis to stay updated on industry trends. Identify new opportunities to inform sales strategies and drive brand growth.
- Sales Forecasting & Inventory Planning: Oversee sales forecasting and inventory planning processes to ensure optimal stock levels and timely product deliveries.
- Budget & Performance Management: Develop and manage the wholesale sales budget. Track sales performance, analyze ROI, and report on key metrics.
- Industry Representation: Represent the brand at trade shows and other industry events to strengthen the brand’s presence and establish new partnerships.
Key Qualifications:
- Proven track record in driving sales growth within the wholesale channel, preferably in the women’s contemporary luxury fashion industry.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and coach team members to reach their targets.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities to cultivate strong partnerships with retail partners.
- Strategic and analytical mindset with a creative approach to identifying new opportunities and shaping sales strategies.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with experience managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in sales forecasting, inventory planning, and budget management.
- A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, with 10+ years of experience in wholesale sales.
