As we continue to scale rapidly, we are looking for a VP of Sales to build, lead, and optimize our sales strategy. As the
VP of Sales, you will be responsible for architecting and executing a comprehensive sales strategy that drives revenue growth, builds sustainable sales processes, and ensures alignment across the sales funnel. You will be a key player in defining sales procedures, KPIs, and daily monitoring systems, with an emphasis on data-driven decision-making and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Design and implement a scalable sales process with clearly defined steps and KPIs.
- Establish daily monitoring and reporting systems to track leads, conversions, and pipeline progress.
- Develop funnels and implement engineering-driven sales procedures to ensure consistent performance.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Oversee and review the sales team's daily tasks and project outcomes, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and development plans for the sales team to improve performance.
- Collaborate with the HR department to recruit, onboard, and retain top sales talent as the team grows.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure alignment on lead generation, content, and campaigns.
- Ensure that marketing-to-sales handoffs are seamless and trackable.
- Collaborate with product and finance teams to ensure accurate forecasting and sales-target alignment.
Revenue Growth & Targets:
- Set and track monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Ensure the company meets or exceeds revenue goals through effective sales planning, pipeline management, and forecasting.
- Implement performance tracking tools to ensure accountability and transparency in hitting numbers.
Process Optimization:
- Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Continuously improve sales processes, tools, and techniques to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Integrate sales automation tools and CRM systems to optimize lead conversion rates and sales cycles.
Reporting & KPIs:
- Create and manage detailed reports on sales performance, conversion rates, and other key metrics.
- Provide the executive team with regular updates on sales progress and forecasts.
- Define and monitor KPIs to ensure the sales team is meeting company objectives
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, ideally within a fast-paced tech startup environment.
- Strong background in sales engineering and process design, with the ability to implement and refine data-driven sales strategies.
- Demonstrated success in building and managing high-performing sales teams.
- Deep understanding of CRM and sales automation tools to optimize lead conversion.
- Ability to work closely with marketing, product, and finance teams to align goals and drive company growth.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data to guide decisions.
