We are seeking a Lead CNC Programmer with a Very Strong Machining background to join our Engineering team. In addition, this CNC Programmer role will have Supervisor responsibilities.
Responsibilities
·Perform CAD design and drafting of fixtures, gages and custom cutting tools
·Assist in fabrication of fixtures and gages when necessary
·Create and maintain document control in accordance with company procedures: Fixture and cutting tool drawings, Gage drawings, and Tool room fixture programs
·Assist in diagnosis of production problems relating to fixture, gage and tool design
·Analyze and improve tool room production processes
·Assist in cross-checking of extrusion, fixture, tool and gage designs
·Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving teams ranging from FMEA to corrective action
·Responsible for new product CNC programming or improving current production
·Write and optimize CNC programs to create complex parts on three and four axis machining centers
·Perform and Complete initial set up for compliance with quoted tooling and machining
·Participate as a resource during the development of work holding fixtures and the selection of cutting tools
·Measure parts and monitor tolerances throughout production process, troubleshoot, and make machine adjustments as necessary
Qualifications
·At least 5 years’ experience in CNC programming and setup required
·Must have Supervisor experience
·Mastercam and Inventor experience required
·Must be able to travel as needed out of the Country
·Solid understanding of G and M Codes
·Some college education or industry-specific certifications a plus
·Experience on Brother VMCs a plus
·Understand fixture designs required
·Experience with blueprint reading and GD&T
·Must have good communication skills and be a TEAM player!
