About this Position:
The Sustainability Analyst will be responsible for the support of the development of and engaging with all indirect suppliers, industry groups, and internal stakeholders to advance Honda's Indirect Procurement sustainability initiatives. Key areas of focus include, but not limited to sustainability education, environmental footprint reduction, and human rights due diligence.
Responsibilities include:
- Support the NAIP sustainability strategy including collaboration with suppliers to develop and implement sustainability strategies
- Determine and manage the accurate and timely collection, analysis, and reporting of supplier sustainability data
- Educate and negotiate with suppliers to promote and meet realistic supplier sustainability goals.
- Manage achievement of annual supplier CO2 data through reporting platform
- Responsible for building supplier relationships and monitoring industry trends/characteristics
- Achieve agreement on sustainability initiatives by coordinating multiple projects with various internal and external stakeholders
- Support the development and implementation of continuous improvement activities to achieve Triple Zero Targets
- Ensure accurate and timely budget tracking and processing
Who we are seeking:
Minimum Experience:
- 6+ years’ experience required in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or related Field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in establishing relationships with supplier organizations and advocacy groups.
- Computer Skills in Microsoft Suite to include Word, Excel. PowerPoint, etc.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental science, sustainability, business or equivalent experience (Bachelor Degree preferred)
Desired skills:
- Proficiency in data analysis and sustainability reporting tools.
- Excellent training, planning, organizational, project management skills, as well as manage internal and external relationships.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Position Factors:
- Travel up to 10% of time
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Expect around 90% of your day spent at a computer and desk, 10% for meetings/industry group meetings and conferences
- Remote work
- Regular occurrence of communicating and presenting information in groups including for evaluation purposes.
