Job Summary
- The Radiology Technologist is accountable for coordinating and performing a variety of diagnostic procedures in general radiology.
- Training and performing Cathlab duties as part of your radiology duties (share roles).
- Perform a variety of non-contrast CT procedures and perform them on weekends and evening when possible to minimize CT callbacks.
- Oversees radiology office operations in the absence of clerical staff.
- Participates in the instruction, supervision, and evaluation of students and other staff.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer's status. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.
Education and/or Experience
- Technical Degree in Radiologic Technology is required, or a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and in good standing with the accrediting board.
- Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent specialty.
- BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
- 6 months to 1 year of experience required, 1-2 years’ experience preferred.
Work Schedule
- Varied Shifts; 72 hours 2 weeks
- 8 or 9-hour days
- Starting times vary depending on shift rotation and call schedule
- Occasional weekend (Weekend call rotation - approximately 1 every 5)
- Occasional holiday (Holiday call rotation - approximately 1 every 5)
- Occasional call time (Call rotation - approximately 1 every 5)
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. The actual hourly rate is dependent upon experience.
