Job Summary: Direct, develop, and coordinate the Eye Care For Detroit (ECFD) “Make a Simple Decision: Give the Gift of Vision Fundraising Campaign.” This includes responsibility for soliciting, securing, and developing mutually beneficial funding relationships and on-going pledges and gift-giving commitments.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, oversight, coordination, of weekly/monthly/quarterly operations of development and fundraising.
- Ensure that philanthropy and fund development are carried out efficiently and confidentially throughout the span of the campaign.
- Direct and oversee ECFD’s key development priorities include a capital campaign, major gifts, corporate relations, planned giving, special events and annual fund.
- Cultivate, solicit, and provide stewardship for a portfolio of major gift prospects.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and familiarity with Detroit, Metro Detroit, and the region’s top philanthropists, foundations, and giving circles.
- Established relationships with local, regional, and national supporters of vision care, eyecare, and eye health.
- Proven leadership skills, with significant experience interfacing with corporate boards and professional staffs.
- Demonstrated experience in cultivating and soliciting six and seven-figure gifts within a 6-month to 1-year timeframe.
- Experience in health-related and start-up social enterprises.
- Must have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to recruit and work with top-level corporate and community leaders.
Job Types: Contract, Part-time
Pay: Up to $28.50 per hour
