Our client, a leading alternative asset manager covering hedge funds, private equity, and credit, is seeking an Investor Relations Associate to join the team.
The role focuses on supporting investor engagement and fundraising efforts across a range of financial products. The ideal candidate will have experience in the alternative asset management space and a drive to contribute to fundraising initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investor Relations Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for current and prospective investors. Respond to investor inquiries, prepare client communications, and ensure timely follow-ups after meetings or presentations.
- Fundraising Initiatives: Partner with senior sales and investor relations staff to support capital-raising efforts. This includes coordinating with internal teams to develop tailored pitch books, and manage investor outreach, and prospecting.
- Marketing & Communications: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop client-focused presentations and performance updates. Manage content creation for investor reports, newsletters, and product briefs.
- CRM & Data Management: Maintain investor databases, track communication logs, and provide ongoing analysis of outreach campaigns. You will be responsible for ensuring CRM systems are up-to-date and that all investor interactions are recorded accurately.
- Client Interaction & Support: Actively schedule investor meetings, calls, and roadshows, ensuring detailed preparation, follow-up, and delivery of tailored materials. Provide administrative support during investor due diligence and reporting.
- Sales Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities. Use sales tools and reports to analyze data trends and develop targeted sales campaigns aimed at increasing fund flows and investor engagement.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Responding to investor inquiries and preparing client-specific materials for investor calls and meetings.
- Supporting senior leadership in the development of fundraising strategies and handling investor-related data requests.
- Developing and maintaining presentation materials, market updates, and fund fact sheets.
- Assisting in the preparation and execution of investor events, conferences, and webinars.
- Managing detailed reporting on investor feedback and helping to refine sales and marketing strategies based on client insights.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 1-5 years of experience in the investment space, investor relations, or sales.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Series 7 & 63 licenses (or commitment to obtain within the first year).
