Description
Position Summary:
Responsible for meeting the sales goals of assigned accounts in Major Retail Automotive, Grocery and Mass Retail Accounts in the US. Works with the Sales and Marketing teams to design national sales and marketing programs for increasing profit and ensuring that Company objectives are achieved.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage Relationships – including major account contacts and broker teams. Collaborate with customers to identify new opportunities, off shelf promotions, trade spend and work with Customer Service / Business Excellence on orders and forecasts.
- Line Reviews – prepare, create and conduct line reviews in partnership with the Marketing team that inspire and excite business partners, generating continued and new business.
- Grow Topline and Bottomline sales - Identify new business opportunities at key accounts and present them to key stakeholders. Execute pricing strategy at the account level.
- Negotiate Sales Terms, Pricing & Contracts – conduct annual line reviews, manage trade programs, and negotiate any additional funding requests from customers.
- Assist Inventory Planning and Forecasting - Work with Customer Service, Marketing, Insights, Operations and Finance as the key contact for the assigned accounts.
- Budget Trade Spend - Effectively manage trade spending, deductions and credit management by working closely with Finance and Customer Service.
- Analyze Sales Trends/Inventory - Review and analyze information such as item movement, SKU assortment and syndicated customer data to make strategic business building recommendations.
- Promotional Planning- Coordinate promotional plans with marketing and finance to exceed customer expectations and align with company strategy.
Closing Statement:
- Engage in Turtle Wax products, becoming knowledgeable in their features and benefits, to be recognized as a product expert both internally and externally, and able to demo product with passion.
- Identify product improvements, new products and new business opportunities by remaining current on industry trends, market activities and competitors.
- Represent company’s mission and vision to all outside relationships
- Assist in development of sales and marketing programs.
- Address problems and solve issues that arise with key accounts.
- Participate and contribute in Demand Planning and Brand Activation Teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Business, Sales/Marketing or related field preferred.
- 4-7 years’ experience with national or major accounts in the Consumer Product Goods industry.
- Auto Appearance industry sales or car care experience a plus.
- Proven track record in sales, marketing, category management, or merchandising to increase product sales and distribution.
- Ecommerce experience a plus.
- Working knowledge of analytics and financial reporting.
- Ability to develop competitive fact-based selling strategies from category management and consumer insights for key accounts.
- Ability to demo products, present product features and benefits both virtually and in person.
- Strong communication skills both oral and written, at all levels, externally and internally.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, Teams and PowerPoint.
- Valid driver’s license.
