Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal representation in labor and employment law matters, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, and wrongful termination.
- Manage all phases of litigation, including investigation, pleadings, discovery, pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
- Develop and implement effective litigation strategies to achieve successful outcomes for our clients.
- Conduct thorough and timely legal research to support case preparation and court proceedings.
- Prepare and draft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in a manner that serves their best interests.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor and employment law, court rulings, and industry trends.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, judges, and opposing counsel.
- Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a litigation attorney, with a focus on labor and employment law.
- Proven track record in managing all phases of litigation, from investigation to appeal.
- Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to achieve successful outcomes for clients.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, judges, and opposing counsel.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
- Ability to handle a large caseload and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
