SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
General Summary
- This role will be working with our Association Management team. As a Senior Accountant, you will provide accounting services and support to multiple clients as well as other departmental accounting responsibilities as assigned. Our team is responsible for managing all Association related accounting and reporting requirements.
Essential Functions
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements for assigned clients.
- Perform financial analysis for client teams and board members.
- Research and resolve all accounting issues of assigned clients.
- Ensure all balance sheet and bank reconciliations are correctly prepared.
- Support Accounts Receivable functions for multiple clients.
- Manage internal and external audits/reviews, as required, for assigned clients.
- Coordinate the completion of all tax filings, e.g.1099 and annual tax return.
- Ensure client satisfaction by providing accurate financial reporting, collaborating with internal teams and offering leadership and guidance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum And Preferred Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree preferably in a related field of study.
- A minimum of five years of related experience is required. Experience in non-profit/association accounting is preferred.
- Strong experience in and demonstrated proficiency with QuickBooks is preferred.
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel and overall proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Adaptable, curious, reliable, enthusiastic demeanor is preferred, with ability to speak clearly and concisely.
- Problem solver. Able to identify issues, resolve issues and enact corrective plans to prevent issue in the future.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
- Team player with a positive attitude.
Scheduling Requirements
Requires flexibility in scheduling. Some travel required up to 1-2 times per year.

We operate as a Hybrid work environment, working as a combination of remote and in-office presence, as well as the possibility of being onsite at company and client events.

- Frequently moves inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Need to adapt and function in various physical settings (for example, conference centers, indoor and outdoor spaces).
- Occasionally required to position self in a stooping, kneeling, or crouching manner.
- Frequently required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, machinery and computers.
- Frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Frequently operates a computer and other electronic equipment.
- The noise level in the office work environment is usually low to moderate, while event environments may be moderate to noisy.
