We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Operations Manager to lead our local logistics operations, ensuring efficient and timely freight movement while delivering top-notch customer service for our client.
This is a dynamic role that requires a proactive leader to oversee the entire logistics process, manage a team, and implement process improvements to maintain strict compliance with SOPs and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the operations team, fostering a culture of high performance and productivity.
Oversee shipping processes, dispatch drivers, and ensure shipments are delivered on time, meeting all customer requirements.
- Quickly escalate and resolve shipment issues while ensuring compliance with all standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Train, mentor, and coach team members, while monitoring their performance and supporting their professional development.
- Drive continuous process improvements, ensuring operations run smoothly and safely.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of experience managing, mentoring, and coaching teams, with a proven track record of success.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics or related fields, with a deep understanding of freight operations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in using Windows, Google, and Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
