Responsibilities:
Grant Research and Identification: Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities that align with Rowan Helping Ministries’ mission and strategic goals. Stay updated on funding trends and changes in grant requirements.
Proposal Preparation: Assist in drafting and preparing grant proposals, applications, and supporting documentation. Ensure proposals are compelling, accurate, and align with funder requirements.
Grant Management: Monitor and manage active grants, including tracking deadlines, deliverables, and compliance requirements. Ensure timely submission of reports and other necessary documentation.
Data Analysis: Analyze grant data and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of funded programs and initiatives. Provide insights and recommendations for improving grant strategies.
Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to grant guidelines, regulations, and organizational policies. Conduct regular audits and reviews to maintain compliance and address any issues.
Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on grant activities, outcomes, and financials. Collaborate with finance and program teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive reporting.
Communication: Maintain effective communication with funders, including updating them on progress, addressing inquiries, and managing relationships.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving grant management processes and systems. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, public administration, or a related field; a master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., Certified Grant Management Professional) is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in grant management, grant analysis, or a related role, preferably within a non-profit or community-focused organization.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with grant management software (e.g., Grant Lifecycle Manager, Fluxx). Familiarity with data analysis tools and reporting software is advantageous.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with experience in evaluating grant performance and generating insights from data.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing grant documentation and financial reports.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear and persuasive grant proposals and reports.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple grants and projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
