Caresify Home Care, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Home Care Billing Specialist to join our non-medical home care agency team in Pennsylvania. The Billing Specialist will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and handling accounts receivable. The ideal candidate will have experience working with billing software platforms such as WellSky, HHAeXchange, Sandata, NaviNet, and Excel. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with the finance team.
*Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Billing and Invoicing:**
- Generate and process accurate and timely invoices for home care services using WellSky, HHAeXchange, Sandata, NaviNet, and Excel.
- Review and verify billing information to ensure compliance with agency policies, payer requirements, and state regulations.
- Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve billing errors in a timely manner.
2. **Accounts Receivable Management:**
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid claims to ensure timely collection of payments.
- Contact clients, insurance companies, and other payers to resolve billing and payment issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable activities and update client accounts as necessary.
3. **Data Entry and Record Keeping:**
- Enter billing data into software systems accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain and organize billing documentation, including client information, service authorizations, and payment records.
- Generate and distribute billing reports to management and other stakeholders as required.
4. **Insurance Verification and Authorization:**
- Work with insurance companies to resolve claim denials and appeals.
- Ensure compliance with Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance billing guidelines.
5. **Compliance and Audit Support:**
- Ensure billing practices adhere to state and federal regulations, as well as agency policies and procedures.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested billing documentation and reports.
- Stay updated on changes in billing regulations and payer requirements.
6. **Customer Service and Communication:**
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, families, and referral sources by addressing billing inquiries and concerns.
- Communicate effectively with the care team, office staff, and management regarding billing issues and updates.
- Assist with training and onboarding new staff on billing procedures and software.
**Qualifications:**
- **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- **Experience:** Minimum of 1 years of experience in medical billing, preferably in a home care or healthcare setting.
- **Software Proficiency:** Experience with WellSky, HHAeXchange, Sandata, NaviNet, and Microsoft Excel required.
- **Skills:** Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent attention to detail and accuracy; ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- **Communication:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally with clients, families, and team members.
- **Knowledge:** Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance billing processes; understanding of home care industry regulations and compliance requirements.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to work in an office environment and use standard office equipment.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while performing data entry and administrative tasks.

- The position is primarily office-based
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
