## Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The Bookkeeper will work closely with Presbytery leaders to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance.
## Duties
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation
- Process payroll and maintain employee records
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Conduct account reconciliations
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Handle journal entries and general ledger operations
- Utilize accounting software such as ACS for financial data organization
## Experience
Minimum Associate degree or equivalent work experience in accounting. Previous experience working for a not-for-profit preferred.
### Required Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting principles and practices
- Experience with 10-key typing and data entry
- Knowledge of governmental accounting standards
- Ability to perform account reconciliation and analysis
- Familiarity with payroll processing
- Strong attention to detail
### Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Previous experience as a clerk or bookkeeper
- Familiarity with ACS accounting software
