We are growing and seeking to add a Product Development Coordinator to our team! The Product Development Coordinator reports to and is supported by the Product Development Manager. This position is primarily responsible for the successful completion of the product development life cycle from inception through to production for all assigned Accounts and Categories. The PD Coordinator works cross functionally to prioritize and complete assigned developments, requests and presentations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work Cross-functionally to assist in managing development timelines for assigned categories/accounts
Assign item #s and review spec sheets to ensure accuracy for vendor to properly make samples
Daily communication with foreign vendors regarding samples, artwork, costs, materials and delivery times are accurate
Daily communication with China team to ensure Spec sheets are set up correctly with accurate cost, descriptions and images
Work closely with PD Manager and vendors to modify/engineer product variances to ensure costs are met
Assist with vendor communications regarding pricing issues, development problems, or delivery issues
Assist with internal and external communication to ensure development remains on track and learn to identify roadblocks
Create spec sheets as needed
Maintain updated project details on department Project tracker
Assist PD Manager with touch base meeting with cross functional team for assigned accounts
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
1-2 years of related experience with a focus on International consumer product sourcing
Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
Knowledge of Jewelry Manufacturing processes, materials, and terminology IS A PLUS!
The ability to take initiative and make decisions, as well as, seek support when needed to gain positive results
Strong creative problem solving skills and a ‘team player’ mentality
Ability to learn overseas product development processes and geographic strengths
Ability to follow processes in place to keep workflow and department needs organized
Ability to multitask, and perform variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature
Ability to work autonomously and follow through on assignments with minimal direction
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative inter-department working relationships
Ability to occasionally work extra to meet presentation deadlines
