Salary: $155,000 to $240,000 + Bonus
Responsible for ensuring patient access to our client's oncology and pipeline products within assigned geographical area. Develop and implement account specific strategies that will maximize business opportunities for growth. This position works with medical practice decision makers, CFOs, practice administrators, pharmacy and medical directors,multi specialty practice management groups, multi specialty provider practices, purchasing, etc. to effectively reduce reimbursement barriers. This position is also responsible for obtaining and maintaining coverage for the Company portfolio with the Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs).
Responsibilities:
- Obtain and maintain coverage for the Company's portfolio with the Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs)
- Work with sales personnel and the managed markets account managers to identify areas of general customer concern in oncology coverage and reimbursement
- Develop strategies for removing reimbursement barriers and effectively educating customers
- Provide leadership and marketplace insight to Managed Markets team, sales, and internal groups on key reimbursement issues
- Responsible for all field based reimbursement activities related to current and future oncology products
- Develop and implement pull through plans so that the field can maximize current product position
- Manage relationships with state oncology societies and other reimbursement stakeholders
- Key working relationships include:
- Working directly with medical directors and policy nurses at the Medicare Administrative Carriers to secure coverage for the Company portfolio
- Interfacing with prescribers and office staff including practice administrators and senior leadership, VPs at large practices, multi specialty practice management groups, IDNs or other facilities
- Working with Field Sales Leadership, Managed Markets Account Management, Health Economics, Contracting, and Marketing to develop, customize and implement initiatives and programs that meet long term customer and company needs
- Interfacing with REACH staff to effectively address reimbursement issues
- The primary location for this role is Residence-Based in the US. The assigned area for this role is Southwest US, which includes the following states: Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico. Candidate must be based within the territory or within reasonable commute to the territory.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and/or device industry
- Experience must include 3-5 years of healthcare coverage, coding and/or reimbursement experience
- Must have an in depth understanding of coding, coverage and payment for oncology therapies across all sites of care (hospital, clinic, integrated delivery network), and ability to apply this knowledge to address individual customer concerns
- Broad knowledge of Medicare, managed care, third party payers and Medicaid
- Demonstrated excellence in meeting and exceeding customer expectations especially in difficult situations
- Ability to effectively address customer concerns in a timely fashion and by working collaboratively with external and internal stakeholders
- A high level of sophistication/interpersonal skills needed to interact with practice decision makers, CFOs, VP customer level, pharmacy and medical directors
- Must demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of customer relations, product promotion and able to interpret complex information. Must possess the leadership ability to effectively organize, communicate and direct people
- Good knowledge of Healthcare Management and Pharma compliance
- Area Reimbursement Managers will cover multiple regions, thus significant overnight travel is required
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Experience in oncology and working with key oncology stakeholders. (preferred but not required)
