The U.S. Senate Select Committee on Ethics seeks a Project Attorney to assist staff with matters within the Committee’s jurisdiction, including the editing of Committee publications and resources. The Project Attorney must be experienced and adept in legal research, analysis, and writing, and possess outstanding written and oral communication skills. Applicants must be able to write clearly and succinctly, maintain flexibility in adjusting to changing circumstances, and manage multiple responsibilities across complicated ongoing projects.

Experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable: government ethics, ethics counseling, copy editing, legal writing, training, and education.

Candidates should have a J.D. and be licensed and in good active standing to practice law in a state or territory of the United States or the District of Columbia. Highly experienced paralegals with equivalent experience in legal research and writing may be considered. This is a 1-year position with the opportunity to transition to full-time staff.
