Underwood Engineering Inc is a professional consulting firm & construction materials
laboratory specializing in Geotechnical Engineering and 3rd Party Special Inspections throughout
the Tri-State Area. Underwood Engineering Inc. is seeking motivated individuals for a field
geotechnical engineer position whose responsibilities will consist primarily of the following:
 Schedule, observe / perform geotechnical exploration and testing programs such
as soil borings, test pits, infiltration testing and groundwater investigations.
 Observe geotechnical related construction activities and assist with geotechnical
related laboratory testing.
 Prepare and / or assist with the preparation of geotechnical engineering reports.
 Perform soil related construction inspections and soil remediation designs.
Qualifications
 The ideal candidate should have 2-5 years of relevant experience in the geotechnical
engineering field.
 Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geology or related field.
 EIT Certificate a plus.
 Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) preferred.
 Valid Driver’s License & Transportation.
 Strong organizational & communication skills.
 Proficiency with Microsoft office (word, excel, outlook, etc.).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
