The Hospice Registered Nurse Team Lead oversees the performance of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants together with the Director of Nursing. Exhibits genuine interest in and compassion for patients and families dealing with end-of-life issues. Offers on going support and palliative care. Demonstrates knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and patient's clinical condition. Assist agency with maintaining personnel to provide quality patient care. Together with DON, ensure personnel are scheduled to ensure proper coverage within authorized staffing levels. Knowledge of current federal, state, and organization regulations concerning patient care. Accepts and completes other duties as assigned by supervisor. Effective communication skills, both verbally and written

Experience Requirements

A minimum two years full time experience working as an RN.
Acute care experience within the last two years
Community health or public health experience with the last two years
Hospice experience within the last two years

License Requirements

· Current RN licensure in the state of Louisiana

· Current driver's license, valid vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle.
