Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Director of Environmental Services to oversee and manage the environmental and housekeeping operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in compliance with industry standards.

Duties:

The Director of Environmental Services is responsible for organization, supervision, and administration of the environmental services. This includes sound planning, directing of workforce, controlling costs, and maintaining sound organizational relationships.

Train new employees in the proper facility cleaning techniques.

Utilize effective time management strategies to enable the Environmental Services department to complete assignments in a timely manner.

Maintains par level of linen and inventory of cleaning supplies and orders as needed.

Provide OSHA training for all staff

Approves and works with Supervisors in writing policy\procedures for Environmental Service department.

Performs a continuous analysis and evaluation of the environmental services rendered Supervises the maintenance of satisfactory work conditions

Directs and coordinates the function of subordinates

Select, appoint, promote, and discharge the members of the Environmental Services department

Hold staff meetings with the employees

Manages resident effects and donations

May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor

Serves on Manager on duty rotation

Requirements:

- High School diploma or equivalent

-1 Year of Management experience

-Proven experience in environmental services, custodial management, or related field
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices and hospital sanitation protocols
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and infection control procedures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise staff effectively
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
