We’re looking for an experienced, passionate, and creative Social Media manager to join us full time at Plex. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing our online social presence across all owned channels, reporting on social media performance, and engaging with digital communities (i.e., liking, commenting, responding to inquiries). You’ll work closely with and report to the Group Creative Director to create engaging content aimed at keeping our social media channels updated, fresh and brand focused. And hopefully, you’ll watch a lot of good movies and TV on Plex along the way!

What you'll do

Manage and oversee social media content across all owned channels—ensure all content is on-brand; consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone
Drive audience growth, engagement, and interactions through community management and interactive campaigns.
Define and report on most important social media KPIs
Stay up-to-date with current trends and algorithms, including best posting practices, across all social media platforms
Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is compelling and on brand
Monitor user engagement and suggest content optimization
Provide regular updates and make actionable recommendations to senior leadership on plans for revising social media strategy, content marketing, and social advertising campaigns

What you bring to the table

5-7 years of experience in a social media management role
History of using social media for increasing brand awareness and affinity
Excellent knowledge of the social media platform ecosystem and other social media best practices, and a good understanding of social media KPIs
A deep passion for movies and TV and a thorough understanding of current streaming platforms
Experience working with copywriters, videographers, designers, and cross-functional teams to create visually appealing content
Flexibility in working hours, as some tasks may involve real-time engagement during partner stunts/events
Strong graphic design, editorial, writing and grammar skills
Great interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
Are kind, humble, thoughtful, and creative

Remote Work

Plex hires new team members in countries around the world.
As such, Plex does not sponsor employment visas.
All of our roles are remote, however some roles may carry specific location-based eligibility requirements. Our hiring team can help answer any questions about location after starting the recruiting process.
Also, please note, though we largely work asynchronously, as it relates to meetings, those generally occur between UTC 1600 to UTC 1900

Compensation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US and Global geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $95,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $135,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, seniority, local currency and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
