Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Funeral Director to join our dedicated team. The Funeral Director will be responsible for managing all aspects of funeral services, providing support to grieving families, and ensuring that all procedures are conducted with the utmost professionalism and respect. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, customer service skills, and emotional intelligence to guide families through difficult times.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and oversee funeral services from start to finish, ensuring that all details are handled with care.
Provide bereavement support to families, offering guidance and assistance during their time of loss.
Prepare the deceased for viewing by sanitizing, cosmetology, and dressing.
Conduct arrangements with families regarding service details, including event planning and logistics.
Manage sales of funeral products and services while maintaining a compassionate approach.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to each service provided.
Collaborate with other professionals, such as medical examiners and cemetery staff, to ensure smooth operations.
Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations governing funeral services.

Requirements

Proven experience in funeral directing or a related field is preferred.
Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to provide appropriate care for the deceased.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to empathize with grieving families.
Ability to perform basic sanitation procedures and maintain cleanliness in the work environment.
Familiarity with cosmetology techniques for preparing the deceased for viewings is advantageous.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for event planning and coordination.
Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay: $59,950.00 - $63,950.00 per year
