The Company

Hampton Farms is the leading In-Shell Peanut Company in the US. We are also a leading producer of other types of nuts and nut butters for the retail and commercial markets. Job Purpose

Each production line will have one designated machine operator and at least one designated packer. The machine operator is ultimately responsible for all activities at the production line they are assigned to. Person(s) in the packer position work under the direction of the machine operator for that station.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prioritize safety and assist with setup tasks as directed by the machine operator, such as restocking and setting up cartons, and maintaining a clean work area.
Ensure consistent supply of cartons and verify weights and date prints on bags, aligning them with production sheets.
Regularly check and record bag weights, and inspect bags for quality issues, informing the operator as needed.
Pack bags, stack finished cases on pallets, and move finished pallets to designated areas, replacing with empty pallets as necessary.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment is preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Basic math skills for counting and recording inventory.
Understanding of safety and food safety protocols and willingness to follow all safety guidelines.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Work Environment

Able to lift 25-40 pounds.
Standing/sitting for shifts up to 12 hours.
Work in extreme weather conditions.
Good manual dexterity and visual acuity.
