Job Title: Embryologist

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Embryologist to join our IVF team. As a Senior IVF Embryologist, you will play a crucial role in conducting various laboratory procedures related to embryology and reproductive biology. Core Duties

Collects eggs and sperm (gametes from patients for processing).
Performs manipulation and testing of suitability of each gamete. Performing ICSI procedures and biopsies
Prepares gametes and the environment for the in vitro fertilization (IVF) and facilitation of fertilization
Uses assisted reproductive technologies to help with infertility.
Preserves gametes and embryos for futures use; embryo culture and cryopreservation.
Monitors embryos development through different stages.
Selects embryo for transfer to recipient women, research or other intended use and the implantation of embryos into reproductive organs,
Monitors and maintains Cryobanks
Maintains an understanding of human reproductive biology, infertility and assisted reproductive technology.
Cares and maintains equipment.
Maintain and records pertaining to patient care.
Contributes to the accurate documentation of patient and procedure data: collects patient data, prepares patient charts and ART worksheets; enters procedure data into the electronic medical records (EMR), and reports laboratory results.

Continuously builds and expands subject matter expertise on the full scope of IVF procedures and seeks opportunities to share knowledge and best practices with the team, through training, resource development, and other learning mechanisms. Leads development and maintenance of assigned resources. Seeks continuous improvement of team knowledge-sharing mechanisms, providing input to leadership on opportunities for improvement.
Participates in projects and special assignments to support departmental or divisional strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.
Performs set-up tasks to prepare for treatments using aseptic techniques: prepare culture dishes for all treatments (IVF/ ICSI/ IUI biopsy, gamete/embryo cryopreservation/warming, and embryo transfer).
Manage culture media and consumables inventory
Knowledge of and compliance with quality control, ethical issues and regulations surrounding gamete and embryo handlings.
Ability to perform proficiency testing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
