We are a growing immigration practice looking to add an Legal Assistant to our team. We offer an outstanding, team-oriented work environment, with opportunity for long-term growth. The right candidate will have experience handling a high volume of phone calls and administrative tasks, as well as, strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and take direction. Must have experience using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. We are looking for someone to grow with our firm.

Responsibilities

Answering and directing phone calls;
Filing;
Scanning incoming and outgoing mail;
Preparing mail for shipping;
Scheduling appointments; and
Being the initial point-of-contact for our clients and potential clients.

Qualifications

High school degree or equivalent experience;
2 years of legal assistant experience;
Strong organizational and communication skills;
Experience using Microsoft Office/Google Office suite;
Must be able to take initiative and be comfortable asking questions when necessary to complete tasks correctly;
Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish a must;
Must be punctual, responsible, and reliable; and
Open to taking on new responsibilities and challenging tasks.

Prior experience working for a law firm or not-for-profit that handles immigration matters is a plus.

Language

Bilingual a plus
