Web/System Administrator (Windows/Unix)

Digital Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (DESI) is seeking a Web/System Administrator (Windows/Unix) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This is a Full Time (Regular) Exempt (Salary) hybrid position located in Patuxent River, Maryland 20670. Candidates must reside within 90 miles of the customer site at Patuxent River, MD 20670 (St. Mary's County Maryland). Initial on-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD 20670 (St. Mary's County Maryland). Initial role assimilation will be mostly virtual but may require occasional customer site visits a few hours per week during the first few months. On-site support is required 1-2 days per month, as well as occasional evening/weekend on-site support for upgrades/patching.

ROLES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform the installation, integration, configuration, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, security implementation, and configuration management of websites and applications hosted on Windows and/or Unix-based servers.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to server and software issues.
Provides direct support through a ticketing system to application owners, developers, government entities and related internal and external teams.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for this position, you must meet the education and experience listed below:

High School diploma or GED is required.
BA/BS/AA/AS degree and 2 years related experience performing the roles/responsibilities listed above -OR- HS/GED and 4 years related experience performing the roles/responsibilities listed above.
Degree(s) in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar is preferred.
College degrees must be from a US accredited institution to be considered towards years of experience in meeting education requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

Windows and Unix web/systems administration experience.
Demonstrated experience with the installation/configuration of web and application server software.
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting of server/software issues.
CompTIA Security+ certification (must show proof of cert prior to interview).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
US Citizenship is required due to US government contract requirement.
Active SECRET clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SSBI.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates with experience or knowledge in these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

Experience or knowledge of DISA STIGS and Security Policies.
Active TOP SECRET clearance or favorable SSBI.
